Cancelling your Appointment

If you are unable to attend an appointment with one of the doctors or nurses, please telephone the surgery.

By giving us as much notice as you can you are helping us to make sure that someone else is given your slot.

Test Results

Results of all tests may be obtained by telephone or calling at reception.

Some tests take longer than others therefore the doctor may not authorise results until all are returned from the laboratory. Please telephone between 2.00 - 4.00pm when results will have been reported on by the doctor. Please leave at least 4 working days before telephoning for results.

Please telephone after 4.00pm for urine results.

The prescription line is open:

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday

8.30am - 12.00pm and 2.00pm - 4.00pm

Thursday

8.30am - 11.00am

 

When you ring you will be asked for your name, your date of birth, your address, the name and dosage of the medication you require and your preferred chemist for collection. Please speak clearly and slowly to allow all the information to be gathered accurately.

Your prescription request will take 48 hrs to process. Please do not ask for it before then as it will not be available.

Prescriptions can also be ordered:

                                   In person at reception 

                                   By post enclosing a stamped addressed envelope 

Acute Prescriptions

Patients who require an acute prescription should dial 02894 413910.

Requests for prescriptions for minor ailments will be decided by the GP. In some cases he may decide a prescription is not necessary. When requesting an acute prescription it is very important for the doctor to know the following details:

  1. IF YOU HAVE A DRUG ALLERGY
  2. IF YOU ARE PREGNANT
  3. IF YOU ARE ON WARFARIN

All acute prescriptions should be telephoned BEFORE 11.30am for collection at 4.00pm.
