Ordering Your Repeat Prescription

The prescription line is available to patients 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week but please note it is only accessed by our reception staff during office hours.
When you ring you will be asked for your name, your date of birth, your address, the name and dosage of the medication you require and your preferred chemist for collection. Please speak clearly and slowly to allow all the information to be gathered accurately.
Your prescription request will take 48 hours to process. Please do not ask for it before then as it will not be available.
It is the responsibility of the patient to order their medication on time and in a timely manner. Please do not order your medication before it is due as out reception staff will not be able to process it.
Acute Prescriptions
Patients who require an acute prescription should dial 02894 413910.
Requests for prescriptions for minor ailments will be decided by the GP. In some cases he may decide a prescription is not necessary. When requesting an acute prescription it is very important for the doctor to know the following details:
- if you have a drug allergy
- if you are pregnant
- if you are on warfarin
All acute prescriptions should be telephoned before 11.30am for collection at 4.00pm.
